FAQs

  • I deeply care about all the families I work with, and promise to support you and your loved ones the best I can. I only work with a small number of families at a time which allows me to spend plenty of time with my active clients!

If you choose the 2 Week Support package, I’d love for us to become a close knit team for the time of our collaboration: a small improvement? I want to know about it! Something doesn’t feel quite right? I most definitely want to know about it. I truly believe that we’ll see the most success if we work closely together, which allows us to find the right path for you and your family!

If you choose the 1on1 Advice call, you’ll receive a detailed intake form before our call - this helps me prepare for our call, and ensures we can spend more time on the solution rather than the challenge itself!

  • Every child is different, and every family’s starting point and challenges are unique. Some families see improvements after just a few days, others after a week or two. Many kids have an easier time making progress during the night, while naps might take a bit longer.

  • Not gonna lie: I’m not a fan of the traditional Cry-It-Out, aka shutting the door and waiting until the little one falls asleep. Thankfully, there are loads of alternatives out there that are more gentle on our little ones and their parents/caregivers. If you’ve done a bit of research on sleep training methods, chances are some of my methods will sound familiar to you. While it’s my job to explain a sleep training method to you, the more important part is identifying the right one given your child’s age and temperament, as well as your preferences as a parent. This might also lead us to adjust common techniques a bit, or blending them together.

  • While it’s possible to start sleep training as soon as your little one is 4 months old, my 2 week support program is currently designed for children aged 6 months to 4 years. If you really don’t want to wait til that 6 month mark though - let me know and we’ll work something out.

While I don’t recommend sleep training before your little one is 4 months old, there’s loads you can do to introduce healthy sleep habits in those early months. I’d love to support you with a 1on1 Advice Call!

  • Before writing a custom sleep plan for you and your little one, I learn A LOT about you all. You’ll receive a detailed sleep questionnaire from me, and we’ll talk about that and more on the phone / via video. I’ll also analyze your child’s sleep patterns. All this information helps me select the best method for your child and your family.

  • If you follow my recommendations, we will see improvements in your child’s sleep. My sleep plans and advice are custom - and we might adjust our plan along the way, whether that’s because of new learnings about your child’s sleep needs or habits, or based on your personal preferences. If certain changes might impact the likelihood of your child making progress, I’ll let you know. This doesn’t mean we can’t try! It’s all about open communication, and finding the sweet spot between best practice and what works best for your family.

  • It’s quite simple: Your child’s well-being takes priority! While it might be helpful to stick to certain elements of our plan even while your child is sick, it’s not always possible. When our little ones get sick, they may simply need more support to sleep. And while they’re struggling with a fever, stuffy nose or worse, we don’t want/need to confront them with additional changes in their sleep routines. I therefore recommend pausing sleep training in case of illness - and we can pick up where we left off once they’re happy and healthy again!

  • Life happens, and there are situations where you may need to pause the 2-week-support programs (e.g. illness, family emergencies, unexpected trips…) - totally understandable. Because I only work with a few families at a time, your pause might impact my schedule in the following weeks. I therefore kindly ask you to communicate openly (and as proactively as possible) about any required delays or pauses.

  • Keep an eye on your emails!

If you purchased a 1on1 advice call or the 2 week support package, you’ll receive a questionnaire followed by a link to my calendar/availability to book our (first) call!

If you booked a free 15 min advice consult, you’ll receive a link to my calendar/availability right away.

  • We’ll have two video calls before you start sleep training (and can of course communicate via email, as needed). Once you’re ready to kick-off sleep training and other changes, you’ll log your little one’s sleep every day and can send any questions / observations my way via email. I’m sending you at least one email response every day with my observations, guidance and feedback.

For families who’d prefer to communicate via text and/or voice memos (rather than emails), I’ve considered introducing that as a potential add-on service. Let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in, and we can figure out how we make it happen!

  • If you’re interested in purchasing a 2 Week Support package after your 1on1 Advice Call, we might be able to rebook you and ensure the cost translates accordingly. Please note this is only possible if the 1on1 Advice Call and 2 Week Support is about the same child and sleep challenge, and both are booked just a week or two apart from each other. Please email me to coordinate!
